You The Successful Information Marketer

 

So you want to be a successful Information Marketer with your own Internet Business? Well, whether you’re completely new to the world of running your own business, or are a seasoned veteran, there are certain traits displayed by all the successful entrepreneurs and I advise you that if you can model them  then you too can have success.

Here are, what I like to call, the ‘Info Marketeers’ Check List’. Its a blueprint  for running a successful information business. In fact any business, not just an Internet Business!

I would urge you to review the list on a very regular basis in order to keep yourself on the track to success as an Information Marketer.

  • Develop an ability to spot what others want/need/desire through your own research, findings and searching. As Neil Travers, from Internet Marketing Review says… “keep your head up and eyes open, opportunities are all around”.
  • Always search out that market gap; the one that exists for some sort of a new product/service or even the development and improvement that can be made to an existing product or service. Simply remember that you don’t have to go out and invent a brand new product to be successful in business and that applies to the Internet Business field as well.

Think about Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic, no way was it the first airline. Branson built Virgin Atlantic on the premise of improving on the air-travel offer that existed at the time.

  • Great Service – aim to become fanatical about service. So many businesses and entrepreneurs make the error of overlooking this really simple business premise by focusing their all on the ‘front end’ of their business, ignoring what happens next.

With the development of help desks and virtual assistants an Information Marketer, such as you, can have an exceptional customer service team and it doesn’t matter what size your Internet business is.

  • Get up and get started. STOP putting off what can be done today and make a start NOW to becoming an Information Marketer !
  • Start small and grow to ANY size you want to.

The Information Product Marketing business offers you and me a great advantage over so many others. We Information Marketers can get started for a few hundred pounds or dollars and then grow into a multi million pound/dollar business by reinvesting our profits. In fact it can often be a disadvantage to have excess funds!

  • Keep on researching. Use the Internet (and even other traditional sources such as your local  library) for acquiring new information about your market, customers, competitors and ideas!
  • Get excited about your Information Marketing business. Generate and create entrepreneurial excitement about your business… and keep it going as the business continues to grow.
  • Don’t short change yourself. Always set your prices at the most you fairly can for your products, in order to create bigger profits for you and your company.

There is no recognition given to the Information Marketing company charging the lowest price; having a good profit margin will see you in good stead when it comes time for you to develop your marketing campaigns, your new products and for meeting the bills when problems occur. (And the cash in the bank is great as well!)

  • Develop a business strategy that aims to help your customers  to grow, enjoy, improve or profit from the information products and services that you sell them.

ALWAYS maintain honesty and integrity in your dealings.

I would urge you to develop your tenacity and perseverance in order to survive those nightmare days and nights when anxiety, frustration and the occurrence of the sort of problems that all entrepreneurs face, land in your lap. Its no different for an Internet business than any other. (I assure you, though, that they’re worth it.)

  • Always keep your eyes open for the errors made and try to work on how to avoid them in future.

Remember the saying… “to trip over a rock in a camp site is an accident, to fall over it twice is a warning and to fall over it a third time is stupidity”. Don’t let mistakes happen in your business, if you can possibly help it.

  • Remember, you have got to continue to win back your customers over and over again.

Review your numbers constantly, check results and revisit the checkpoints within your business on an ongoing basis. Having the control and an understanding of your Internet business can only help you as you grow.

  • Look for areas of diversification within your Information Marketing business so that you can strengthen your business position and then offer related products and services to your customers and prospects.
  • Plan an exit. Look to sell your business when it no longer interests or excites you.
  • And finally, find yourself something worthwhile, fun and enjoyable to do with the money that you earn.

Although not finite, this list is a great starting point for you to review and check off in your own Information Marketing business.
